What Can’t Wait: Courage Can’t Wait

Passage: Matthew 1:18-25

The story of the birth of Jesus as told in the Matthew's Gospel is a story reminding us of the courage displayed by those who were participants in the first Christmas. Mary, who was willing to bear the child even though she was at considerable risk. The shepherds who left their flocks to find the child the angels sang of. The wise men who came and defied the mad King to keep the child safe. Joseph, who risked reputation, business, and life, to marry is Mary, and bring Jesus into the world.

There are many things in this world that frighten us, and with good reason. But no matter what the risk, courage, love, can't wait.
