Online Worship Survey

We had our first online worship service this week. Since it's new to all of us, I wanted to take a few minutes and reflect on what we shared. The information we share here will be used to help guide our worship in the future.

Do you prefer online worship from the sanctuary or a more casual setting?
To some people, having a worship experience in the sanctuary is important. To others, seeing worship in the sanctuary, knowing no one else is there, seems strange. Which do you prefer?
- I like using the sanctuary. It feels "normal."
- I would prefer a warmer, more intimate setting.
- It doesn't matter, as long as we worship!

Do you prefer pre-recorded or live?
Pre-recording would allow us to post worship Saturday night, and you can watch it whenever you like. If we go "live" (even if the worship is pre-recrorded), you can't watch until Sunday at 9am.
- Live, please. I like knowing that many of us are worshiping at the same time.
- Pre-recorded, please! I like knowing I can watch whenever I please, starting Saturday evening.
- It doesn't matter, as long as we worship!

Do you like the responsive sections?
In this week's worship, we included a responsive call to worship, prayers, and scripture.
- Yes, I like participating in worship, even remotely.
- No, it felt silly to have responsive readings in remote worship.
- It doesn't matter, as long as we worship!

How did you like the music?
The music provided in this week's worship was pre-recorded and synced to music. It contained all the verses of congregational hymns. Another option would be to have more simply produced music with someone singing rather than a congregational hymn.
- I liked the music! Please continue!
- It was a little silly to have congregational hymns alone in our living rooms.
- How about a mixture? A song or two and a hymn?
